People with family name have at least an advantage over those who don’t own one — such as myself. It is easier to search for your family’s genealogy if you have a family name.

The hubby could even tell that his ancestors came from Moldova, while in his native country he hardly heard of any other families who shared the same family name with him — all thanks to such sites like publicgenealogy.org.

You too could find your roots using this lds genealogy. Don’t forget that you don’t have to be a member to use their free search engine.

Toaster oven is a must-have for any wife, especially those who enjoy quick-cooking sessions, like me. I’m no good in baking, but a toaster oven is everyone’s saviour when all else failed. I don’t know anyone who failed an easy casserole, but if you do, you can always opt for a frozen pre-cooked food. And just what do you need for that? Yep, a toaster oven!

Basically I’d just choose the cheapest toaster oven available, but nowadays there are many things you can consider before buying one. Not only the price, but you can also choose the model, wattage, user-friendliness, etc. Surely a good baker would want to avoid uneven cooking. Or who knows, you may want to buy red toaster ovens.

If you need reviews from an expert, perhaps you should first visit toasterovensguide.com before making up your mind.

U.S. residents, do you still flip your phone book for looking up numbers? Don’t! You wouldn’t want to add more polution to the picture above, do you? Use this Phone Book Resource instead.

Have you ever got prank calls? You must have, once in a while. No doubt, everyone can benefit from having a telephone — even those pranksters. They’d ring you in the middle of the night, only to hang up when you do pick it up. If you experienced harassment from such calls, don’t forget to keep a phone log of each time you receive the call. Harassing phone calls are creepy.

For that, folks, Caller Identification is important. If you’re curious about your unwanted phone calls, visit calleridentifier.com to find out who they were.

Many times people asked why I never post photos of myself and family, let alone uploading videos.

My reason is one: I want to protect them from being misused. OK, I’m not a celeb and don’t intend to be one anytime soon, but you can never be too careful — especially online, where people can trespass our territory easily.

I’ve heard cases when sexual predators searched for their prey online from people’s blogs and sites. So beware!

Luckily Megan’s Law will restrict these predators’ movement. But of course, that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t need to do anything to protect your loved ones from them.

Do you own Sexual Predator Search to make sure to make sure that your neighborhood is safe from the threats. If you haven’t known, 1 in every 460 people in the US have been convicted for some form of sexual crime. Keep your family safe!

My apologies, I haven’t updated much lately, mainly because I haven’t felt well. I’ve got a little pregnancy complication and will have to spend more time seeing some different specialists in the future. I’ll share the experience with you when all is well, which is soon, hopefully.

Meanwhile, it’s only 13 days left until Hari Raya Puasa. I still won’t be able to celebrate it in my kampung like the old days, but I’m feeling full of anticipation nonetheless. My bulging tummy might prevent me from doing too much cooking and baking, but food is never a problem here in Singapore, not even during Christmas week. We might as well stock up some cookies from the Ramadan Bazaar. Surely it won’t be a bad Hari Raya at all.

The most important thing is that I’ll celebrate it with my hubby, and meanwhile we could watch our baby practicing his no-shadow kick. It won’t be long until he joins us :-)

Marriage is definitely a major event in one’s life. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always last forever. People divorce for different reasons, some are good but many are craps.

In Indonesia, only 0.8 percent of married couples divorce in any year, while in Singapore it’s 17.2. Overall rate in Hungary is 37.5, which is quite low compared to the US with 54.8 — although it’s still arguably inaccurate.

For more accurate Divorce Records in the United States, you can visit the Nationwide Divorce Records. Whichever state you need, they have it all there in one click.

You can find out whether your future husband is a divorcee, as well as getting other records, such as public court records, public arrests, and public bankruptcy records. You can never be too careful.

Domain name is perhaps one of the biggest assets for a blogger, especially for those who want to be full-time bloggers. I do have those days when I dreamed of becoming one (who hasn’t?), but with my status as a full-time mommy now, I just can’t afford the time.

But serious bloggers can be filthy rich — and famous too! Just look at Perez Hilton.

Of course, first of all, you’d need to pick a good web host for that. And how to find one, you ask?

Visit Web Hosting Rating! They provide you with thorough information on the top ten web hosting companies, which is chosen based on the customer satisfaction, affordability, reliability, uptime and technical support.

When I said thorough information, that also includes their plans, promotional and discount coupons to give you better deals.

For your first attempt, cheap web hosting should be enough. But if you have extra budget, there is nothing wrong with securing multiple domains to generate more traffic.

There are actually many things to consider before deciding to choose your web hosting company. Read more on Web Hosting Rating!

In case you haven’t known, that’s supposed to be a concept car from Ferrari called Ferrari Monza. Well, being a Ferrari fan myself, I’d say it looks out of this world, literally — but in this case that’s not a compliment.

However, apart from the look, Ferrari never fail to impress:

This conceptual Ferrari ‘Monza’ changes shape at higher speeds in order to maximise its aerodynamics. Furthermore, because ordinary humans don’t have the necessary skills to handle speeds in excess of 125 miles per hour or 200 km/h, an automated computer system will takeover a lot of the controls at higher velocities.

The highly original Monza design is obviously intended to minimise friction and to stop unexpected headwinds from sending the vehicle pirouetting into the sky at the slightest gust. Two fins adjust their orientation automatically with the increased airflow in order to keep the vehicle grounded. Oh, and they look absurdly cool as well.

Once the driver exceeds a certain speed, the computer will assume the majority of control. Think about it like your handing the steering wheel over to your sat nav. Maghsoudi doesn’t mention what kind of functions the computer pilot will handle, or how well it will take verbal directions like “I said turn left, no my left, oh wait this map is upside down”.

One thing’s for sure though - you would not want to be seeing the Blue Screen of Death in one of these.

Verdict: only for Anakin.

Good news for you, folks — not so much for the ladies though. New research conducted by the University of Sheffield in UK suggests that men from polygamous cultures live 12 per cent longer than those from monogamous ones.

Chris Wilson, an evolutionary anthropologist at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York also said, “It’s a valid hypothesis and good prediction. It doesn’t surprise me that men in those societies live longer than men in monogamous societies, where they become widowed and have nobody to care for them.”

But how about the women? Next time they should also do the same research on women.

Have you ever fallen a victim to bird muck? Or was it your car? Actually I never thought it would’ve caused permanent damage to car paint, until it happened to us. Apparently it’s a quite common problem for car owners around the world.

I stumbled upon this article the other day. It says, “A study from Zurich Insurance has found that repairing the damage caused by bird droppings is costing British motorists nearly £57m a year”.

My first reaction was, like, is there no motorist in Switzerland? He he. Anyways, it further says, ” Nine out of 10 motorists (89 per cent) have been on the receiving end of a bird ‘strike’ in the last 12 months, with an unfortunate four per cent of these - more than a million motorists - claiming to fall target every single day.”

Blah blah. I’m not gonna bore you with all details. In short, bird poo can cause permanent discolouration to your car’s paintwork, because it’s acidic. Worse still, it might cost you a bomb to get it repair.

So, here are a few tips to combat the poo:

1. Get rid of it as soon as possible.

2. Don’t wipe; spray. The hard seeds that birds eat are excreted with the lime so when you wipe it away they will scratch your paint.

3. Keep carbonated water in the car for such occasion, not to celebrate, of course, but to wash off the stain. Make sure to get a bottle without salt content.

4. Polish and wax your car. Polish and wax form an invisible layer of protection for your car and will protect again sun, birds and any other elements.

5. Use a cover for your car, especially when you park outside.
