It’s been a long time since Beyonce delivered something that I actually liked. I loved her ballads during her Destiny’s Child, but I found her solo songs to be difficult to listen to — if not annoying. Sorry Beyonce’s fans, but I’m really not into songs like Crazy In Love and Deja Vu. You might wriggle, but there’s no way you can dance to such tunes. Such is the case with Rihanna.

But hey, I actually like Beyonce’s latest single, If I Were A Boy. It’s refreshing.

What’s better is that today I stumbled upon this young girl called BC Jean. She probably hasn’t made a name for herself, but it’s actually her who wrote If I Were A Boy. So now it’s her versus Beyonce! Her version is less mellow, stronger — definitely more rock chick than B. It reminds me to some of those Dawson’s Creek’s soundtracks — forgot the titles.
