Would you pay USD 180 to get your face covered with bird poo for fifty minutes? Apparently some spa goers would. In a bid to look young, some women in New York City are willing to give it a try:
“The Geisha Facial given at Shizuka New York, a day spa in midtown Manhattan, doesn’t contain just any run of the mill pigeon poo. It’s made from dried nightingale droppings imported from Japan and mixed with rice bran.”
Spa owner Shizuka Bernstein said Japanese geishas had used nightingale droppings to remove their heavy make-up, and not only it worked, it also left their skin smooth.
Well, I’m not sure about you, the last time we had bird dropping on our car was a few months ago. And instead leaving our car smooth, it has permanently damaged the paint. We’ve talked to a workshop, and they said the only thing to remove it is by repainting the whole part. But then again, the bird wasn’t Japanese—
